Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pat Michaels (ranked 6746 p4p, 394 weight class) and Nikki Hendrix (ranked 7916 p4p, 423 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix closes the distance and pushes Michaels back into the cage.

Michaels is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hendrix is defending well for now.

Michaels is pressed up against the cage. Hendrix has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Michaels down to the mat. Michaels avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hendrix really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Michaels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
