Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennis Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juha Niska!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niska loads up on a big right hand but Wilson slips the punch.
Wilson thinks about countering with a head kick.
Niska looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilson is just out of range.
Juha Niska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Niska connects with the punch.
Niska scores with a jab. Wilson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jab, jab by Niska - just one landing.
Wilson tries to clinch up
and Niska counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Niska keeps the fight on the outside.
Niska lands with a good body shot.
Niska pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Wilson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Niska jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Wilson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Niska moves away.
Wilson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Niska is fending him off so far but Wilson persists. Nope, Niska circles away and we're back to standing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wilson slips under a jab from Niska.
Niska's corner calls for a 1-2. Niska obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Niska jabs Wilson to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Wilson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Niska lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Niska throws a shot from downtown. Wilson moves away and avoids it.
Wilson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Niska lands a head shot.
Wilson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Niska.

Wilson is rocked!
Niska fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oh Wilson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Niska has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

As Niska looks to move away, Wilson throws a big counter combo but Niska just gets out of the way.

It looked like Wilson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Wilson counters with a nice kick to the body.
Niska looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilson is just out of range.

Wilson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Niska throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wilson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Wilson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Niska lands a really nice looking cross but Wilson seems unphased.

Niska bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wilson's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Niska stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Niska wants it to stay on the feet.

Wilson moves out of range as Niska strikes.
Niska throws the left hand but Wilson avoids the punch easily.
A lazy left from Niska finds it's target.
Niska slaps away a takedown attempt from Wilson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wilson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wilson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Niska throws out a loose jab but Wilson uses good head movement to avoid it.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Wilson might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Horrible takedown attempt by Wilson or perhaps it was just good defense by Niska, which made it look bad.
Wilson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Wilson dives in for a single leg takedown but Niska sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Wilson walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Niska swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

A relieved looking Juha Niska thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
