Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brian Marais (ranked 5754 p4p, 247 weight class) and Makhlamed Armagedonenov (ranked 6673 p4p, 262 weight class). Marais comes to the cage accompanied by The Offspring - Come Out And Play. Brian Marais is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marais tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Armagedonenov defends well and Marais ends up having to push Armagedonenov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Armagedonenov stuffs the takedown.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Marais. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marais shoots in looking for a takedown but Armagedonenov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marais's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It seemed like Armagedonenov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Armagedonenov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Armagedonenov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Armagedonenov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marais. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Marais tries to free his leg and advance position but Armagedonenov is retaining full guard.

Marais is pushing down on Armagedonenov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Armagedonenov is fighting to maintain full guard but Marais has managed to sneak the leg through.

Marais drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marais jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Marais drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marais jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Marais has gone for a leg lock! Armagedonenov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Marais's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Armagedonenov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marais has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Armagedonenov has managed to get both his arms back between Marais's legs - danger averted.

Marais has his feet on Armagedonenov's thighs here. He's pushed Armagedonenov off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Armagedonenov screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
