The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anele shoots in and bounces Poppins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poppins is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Anele frees his head nicely. Oh but Poppins has switched to an armbar! Anele is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
