Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Gustavsson (ranked 1781 p4p, 209 weight class) and Ricky Randolph (ranked 3144 p4p, 339 weight class). Gustavsson comes to the cage accompanied by Clawfinger - Biggest The Best. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph throws a right hand that misses
and Gustavsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Randolph fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
We've been told by Gustavsson's head coaches at Sin City Allstars Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Randolph misses with an uppercut.
Gustavsson misses with a double jab
and Randolph counters with a one-two to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randolph lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Randolph takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Randolph misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Randolph tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Randolph misses with a kick to the body
and Gustavsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Randolph throws a head kick that misses
enabling Gustavsson to counter with a crisp jab.

and Gustavsson scores with a counter punch that sends Randolph to the canvas! Gustavsson smells blood - he's punishing Randolph with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Randolph has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gustav Gustavsson!
Gustav Gustavsson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
