The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Washington clinches.

Washington has picked Loko up - he's going for a ride! Washington dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Loko is looking to get back to is feet but Washington passes into side control.

Washington stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Loko throws a series of punches but Washington moves out of range.
Loko throws a sloppy head kick
and Washington connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sloppy strikes from Loko. Those never looked like landing.
Washington steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Washington decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Washington changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Loko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Washington thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Loko tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Washington has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Washington cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Loko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Washington on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Loko is looking to improve his position but Washington isn't that keen on the idea.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Washington softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Loko is out cold! Washington jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
