Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Demian Azevedo (ranked 2775 p4p, 133 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 1833 p4p, 91 weight class). Mike Hunt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Hunt tries to keep at a distance but Azevedo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Azevedo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hunt just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Azevedo fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Azevedo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hunt uses from the top position.
Azevedo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Azevedo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Azevedo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hunt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Azevedo is trying to keep Hunt in close.

Hunt trying to control but Azevedo is working from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Azevedo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Azevedo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hunt is aware though and is defending well.

Azevedo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hunt passes Azevedo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Hunt looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Azevedo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Azevedo.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Azevedo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunt is one step ahead there.

Azevedo is looking for a triangle but Hunt pushes his legs off easily.
Hunt wants to control from the top but Azevedo keeps moving.
Azevedo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hunt trying to control but Azevedo is working from the bottom.
Azevedo trying to keep a closed guard but Hunt is proving a slippery customer.

Hunt wants to control from the top but Azevedo keeps moving.

Hunt drops back looking for a leg! Azevedo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Azevedo manages to kick Hunt off! Hunt jumps back into Azevedo's guard.
Azevedo looking for a sweep. Not yet Azevedo, not yet.
Azevedo keeping moving, preventing Hunt from controlling successfully.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hunt looking to pass the guard.
Azevedo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Azevedo is working for a submission of some sort.
Azevedo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Azevedo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hunt gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Hunt is trying desperately to improve position.
Hunt has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Azevedo wants to take Hunt's back but he can't do it this time.

Azevedo goes for an armbar but Hunt turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hunt.
Hunt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Azevedo looking for a triangle here. Hunt is fighting it but it looks tight! Azevedo pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hunt is tapping out - this one is all over!
