PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boris Matusov (ranked 1746 p4p, 199 weight class) and Humors Lacplesis (ranked 2727 p4p, 268 weight class). Humors Lacplesis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matusov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lacplesis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Matusov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Lacplesis darts in and clinches Matusov up against the ropes.

Lacplesis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Matusov with a lazy takedown attempt
and Lacplesis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Matusov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lacplesis looks to score with a jab to the body but Matusov is just out of range.

Lacplesis clinches up against the ropes.
Lacplesis lands a nice shot to the body.
Lacplesis is working Matusov over against the ropes.
Lacplesis is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Matusov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lacplesis prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boris Matusov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lacplesis breaks the clinch.
Lacplesis moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lacplesis drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Matusov right on the button. Matusov goes down! Lacplesis follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Lacplesis gets the win via TKO!
