Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Jonriquez (ranked 5916 p4p, 210 weight class) and Andre Walker (ranked 7668 p4p, 233 weight class). Sergio Jonriquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Jonriquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Walker!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker closes the distance and clinches.
Walker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Jonriquez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Walker blocks a punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jonriquez.
Walker blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jonriquez has a couple of punches blocked by Walker.
Walker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jonriquez pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jonriquez throws a head punch that misses.

Walker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Andre Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jonriquez throws a head kick but Walker moves out of range.
Jonriquez misses with a head kick.
Jonriquez throws a leg kick

and Walker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jonriquez's guard.
Walker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Walker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Walker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Walker works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jonriquez throws a punch but it's blocked by Walker.
Jonriquez misses with some punches.
Walker blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Walker pulls guard effortlessly.
Walker wants to sweep here but Jonriquez controlling him for the moment.
Walker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Walker wants to get back to his feet but Jonriquez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jonriquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Walker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jonriquez's guard.

Walker passes Jonriquez's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Walker stands up from half guard.
Walker dives in and grabs Jonriquez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jonriquez pushes down on Walker's head and hops out.
Walker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jonriquez tries to avoid it but Walker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jonriquez to the ground. Jonriquez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sergio Jonriquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Walker.
Walker shoots in looking for a takedown but Jonriquez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Walker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jonriquez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Walker tries for a takedown but Jonriquez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jonriquez fires out a quick counter leg kick but Walker just manages to avoid it.
Jonriquez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walker shoots and misses
and Jonriquez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Walker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jonriquez counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Walker looks winded!
Jonriquez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jonriquez looks to score with a jab to the body but Walker is just out of range.
Walker throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jonriquez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jonriquez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jonriquez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jonriquez misses with a body kick.
Walker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jonriquez was well out of range. Poor timing from Walker.

Walker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jonriquez has hold of Walker's hands but Walker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Andre Walker will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jonriquez feints and then cracks Walker's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Walker down.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walker is defended easily by Jonriquez.
Walker tries for a takedown but Jonriquez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jonriquez throws a head punch that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jonriquez prevents it.

Jonriquez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jonriquez wants it to stay on the feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walker just content to control the position.

Andre Walker has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jonriquez just misses with a punch to the body.
Walker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jonriquez avoids it really well and circles away.

Walker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Walker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jonriquez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker avoids the attempt from Jonriquez to control.
Walker throws some wild stikes that Jonriquez manages to avoid easily.
Walker is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walker unloads with some shots from mount but Jonriquez bucks and avoids them well.

Andre Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Walker darts in and clinches Jonriquez up against the cage.

Walker gets control of Jonriquez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Walker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Walker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jonriquez manages to get himself to full guard.

Walker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Walker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Walker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jonriquez is surviving well by controlling Walker's body position as best he can.

Andre Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Walker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
