Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dewayne George (ranked 23801 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jone Nabasu (ranked 5599 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dewayne George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jone Nabasu!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nabasu gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nabasu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
George might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

George lands a couple of digs.
Nabasu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
George in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

George got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nabasu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, George has managed to get both his arms back between Nabasu's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nabasu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with George but George pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nabasu throws a sloppy head kick and George moves out of range easily.

and George counters with a three punch combo that has Nabasu backing up. Nabasu nods at George to acknowledge the strikes.

and George counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nabasu shoots in and drives through. George sprawls well.
Dewayne George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jone Nabasu.

and Nabasu counters with a single leg into guard. George didn't expect that.

The fighters are working up against the cage. George manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
George jumps guard but Nabasu stands there with George around his waist. George gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
George misses with a knee to the head.
Nabasu stops a takedown attempt from George.

Nabasu gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

George is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nabasu pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nabasu seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
George works his way to full guard. Good work.
Nabasu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

George is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nabasu is aware though and is defending well.

Nabasu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

George escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nabasu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

George can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nabasu controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nabasu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. George swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now George is on top in guard.

Nabasu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nabasu is looking for a triangle but George pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Nabasu tries to advance to mount but can't.
George is looking for a sweep.

Nabasu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with George. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nabasu tries to move to mount but George blocks the move with his legs.
George tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nabasu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jone Nabasu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Dewayne George's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Nabasu misses with a takedown attempt - George sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A quick step to the side and George tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nabasu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches George napping and manages to drive through into side control!

and Nabasu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Nabasu has dropped down and is working for a takedown. George is trying to keep an underhook but Nabasu manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nabasu is taking a breather. George says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nabasu moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from George.

George is trying to buck Nabasu off.

George bucks up and tries to throw Nabasu off but instead Nabasu has got his back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nabasu is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften George up.
George tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
George is trying desperately to improve position.

George tries to improve his position but instead Nabasu has taken his back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Nabasu lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can George hold on?!
