PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Patterson (ranked 5497 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Morrish (ranked 5355 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trevor Morrish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morrish looks for a takedown but Patterson sprawls well.
Patterson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Patterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patterson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Morrish sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Patterson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Patterson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Morrish holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Patterson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morrish keeps working.

Trevor Morrish comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
