Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lester Piggott!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piggott loads up on a big right hand but Burns slips the punch.

Piggott will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Burns up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Piggott - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Burns is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Piggott is just riding it out for now. Burns eventually gives up the hold.

Burns is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Piggott doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Burns.

Piggott wants to improve his position but Burns is controlling well.

Burns looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
