The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez throws a series of punches but Queen avoids them all with ease.
Queen lands a glancing blow to the side of Perez's head.
Queen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Perez tries to clinch up but Queen circles away and keeps his distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Queen.
Nice shot by Queen.
Queen misses with a wild combination.

Perez moves into the clinch.

Perez lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Queen.

Queen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Perez darts in and clinches Queen up against the cage.
Perez pushes off an throws an elbow but Queen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Perez is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Queen is keeping busy.
The referee is keeping an eye on Perez - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Queen fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Perez closes the distance but Queen moves to the side
letting Queen counter with a right hand.
Queen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Queen throws a head kick that misses.
Perez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Queen keeps the fight on the outside.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Queen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Perez throws a body punch but Queen moves out of range.
Queen looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Perez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Queen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Queen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Queen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Queen throws a sloppy head kick and Perez moves out of range easily.
Queen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Perez. Perez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Queen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Queen throws a head kick that Perez semi-blocks.
Queen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Perez is breathing heavily.

Queen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Perez on the side of the head.
Queen with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Perez rushes Queen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Perez using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Queen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Queen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Queen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Queen works on Perez's body with a couple of short punches.

Queen lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Queen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perez tries to clinch up but Queen circles away and keeps his distance.
Queen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Perez's calf.
Queen lands a body shot.
Queen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Queen throws a good cross that connects.

Perez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Queen misses with the combination.
Perez tries to clinch but Queen moves out of range.
Queen works Perez's body with a nice hook.

Perez has closed the distance and engaged Queen in a clinch.
Perez creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Queen lands a shot to the body.
Perez has a couple of punches blocked by Queen.
A right handed body shot lands from Queen.

Queen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
