With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Twea King!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rotti counters with an inside leg kick.
King lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
King swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rotti appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
King has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Rotti avoids a punch combination nicely.
King misses with a left hand
and Rotti counters with an outside leg kick.
King misses with a combination
and Rotti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
King throws a lazy uppercut
and Rotti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

King throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rotti counters with a nice uppercut.
King lands with a hook. Rotti tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

King changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Jay Rotti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

King keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
King moves away from the strike by Rotti.

It looked like Rotti wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
King throws a hook to the side of Rotti's head but Rotti sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

King takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Rotti has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Rotti is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

King tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rotti was well out of range. Poor timing from King.
King seems to have recovered his senses.

Rotti displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as King throws out the jab.

King takes the fight into the clinch.
Rotti prevents the takedown attempt.

Rotti turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rotti manages to end up in side control.
King is trying to get back to half guard.
King controls the position for a moment.
Rotti knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rotti wants to stand but King has his arm trapped.

Rotti stands up and beckons King to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Rotti dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Rotti attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from King. Rotti does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Rotti counters with a slapping leg kick.
King swings widly with a right hand
enabling Rotti to counter with a crisp jab.
Nice sprawl there from Rotti as King shoots in.

and Rotti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King.
Jay Rotti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Twea King.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rotti connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! King scrambles back to his feet.

Sloppy strikes from Rotti. Those never looked like landing.

and Rotti counters with a crisp right that sends King to the canvas! Rotti follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
