Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shklyarskiy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Thunder stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thunder is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Shklyarskiy's half guard.

Thunder has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shklyarskiy is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Thunder changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shklyarskiy tries to avoid it but Thunder manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shklyarskiy to the ground. Shklyarskiy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Shklyarskiy closes the distance and clinches up with Thunder, looking for a takedown. Shklyarskiy pushes Thunder against the cage but Thunder circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Shklyarskiy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Distant Thunder seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Shklyarskiy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Thunder finds it's way round the side to connect with Shklyarskiy's head.
A telegraphed right hand from Shklyarskiy misses the target.
Shklyarskiy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Shklyarskiy is rocked!
Shklyarskiy walks straight into a right hand from Thunder - that's dropped him! Thunder jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Shklyarskiy from any more punishment! Shklyarskiy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
