The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roberts looking to score a takedown here. Zap is defending well but Roberts drives through and ends up in Zap's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roberts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zap's guard.
Zap wants to improve his position but Roberts is controlling well.
Roberts takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Roberts tries to pass to full mount but Zap defends it.
Zap is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zap is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Zap on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zap tries to get out of the position.

Roberts in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Zap tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Roberts!
