Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Jester (ranked 5951 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lexington Steeled (ranked 6994 p4p, 0 weight class). Lexington Steeled will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Jester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lexington Steeled!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jester changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Steeled looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Steeled tries to improve position but can't.
Jester could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jester is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Steeled is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jester advances to full mount.
Jester controlling the position easily from mount.
Steeled is bucking up trying to escape but Jester cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jester stands up from mount. Strange move.

Jester dives in and scores a takedown into Steeled's guard.
Jester is stalling in the full guard.

Jester drops back looking for a leg! Steeled is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steeled manages to kick Jester off! Jester jumps back into Steeled's guard.

Jester seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Steeled for as long as he can get away with.
Steeled really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jester. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Steeled has an active guard here but Jester has managed to pass into half guard.

Jester's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jester frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Steeled takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Jester tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jester continues to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jester has Steeled pushed against the cage.
Steeled drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jester pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jester moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steeled drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jester lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Jester passes the guard and advances to mount!
Steeled is breathing heavily.

Jester lands a big shot there that rocks Steeled but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Steeled has given up his back here.

Jester is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Jester has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Steeled has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Jester is stinking the place up with his stalling.
