Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Iceman (ranked 2931 p4p, 256 weight class) and Aslan Ramesha (ranked 2987 p4p, 259 weight class). Aslan Ramesha has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Iceman !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aslan Ramesha!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iceman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Iceman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Iceman sizes up Ramesha with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Iceman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ramesha shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Iceman but Iceman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ramesha dodges the punch combination from Iceman .
Iceman misses with a wild combination.
Ramesha will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jake Iceman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aslan Ramesha.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ramesha throws a strike but Iceman avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Ramesha's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Iceman will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Iceman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Iceman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ramesha moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jake Iceman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramesha slips a jab and a cross from Iceman .

Iceman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nice takedown defense from Iceman . No joy for Ramesha on that attempt.
Iceman went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Ramesha shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Iceman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Iceman is looking for a sweep. Ramesha is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ramesha takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Iceman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
No luck for Ramesha with that takedown attempt.
We've been informed that Ramesha has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Jake Iceman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ramesha misses with a takedown attempt - Iceman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ramesha throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Iceman was covering up waiting for the punch and Ramesha finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ramesha manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Iceman on his heels. He'll look to pass Iceman 's guard now, I'm sure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ramesha connects with a nice short shot to Iceman 's temple.
Iceman tries to kick Ramesha off but Ramesha keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ramesha is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Iceman in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramesha cracks Iceman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Iceman wants to control but Ramesha is having none of it.
Ramesha is in the full mount, landing strikes.


Iceman is rocked!

Aslan Ramesha comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Iceman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
