Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Ster (ranked 382 p4p, 41 weight class) and Phil Hellmuth Jr (ranked 372 p4p, 38 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ster might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Automatic - Monster. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ster uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hellmuth Jr.
Hellmuth Jr scores with a jab to the jaw.

It looks like Mon Ster has been cut.

Hellmuth Jr lands a left and a right that send Ster crashing to the mat, dazed. Hellmuth Jr thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ster misses with an uppercut. Hellmuth Jr saw that one coming.
Hellmuth Jr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've been informed that Hellmuth Jr has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Ster on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Mon Ster's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Hellmuth Jr lands a big uppercut and Ster crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ster looks OK. Hellmuth Jr waves Ster back to his feet!

Jeez, Mon Ster's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Ster throws an off balance right hand
and Hellmuth Jr scores with a counter punch that sends Ster to the canvas! Hellmuth Jr smells blood - he's punishing Ster with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Ster has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Phil Hellmuth Jr spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
