Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy Bidon Souwer (ranked 23635 p4p, 430 weight class) and Jung Hoon Sung (ranked 6482 p4p, 384 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Bidon Souwer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jung Hoon Sung!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sung instigates a clinch.
Sung jumps guard but Souwer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Sung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sung darts in and clinches Souwer up against the cage.
Sung stalling in the clinch.
Sung is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Sung breaks the clinch.

Sung fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Souwer to the ground. Sung is now in Souwer's guard.
Sung is looking to stand up but Souwer won't let him.
Sung is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Souwer wants to stand and escape but Sung is having none of it.
Souwer keeping full guard, as Sung tries to pass.
Sung looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Souwer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sung is controlling him.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sung lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Souwer is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
I was talking to Souwer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Sung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Souwer tries to keep at a distance but Sung has taken the fight into the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Souwer wants to get back to his feet.

Sung slows the pace down in half guard.
Souwer is trying to stand.
Souwer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sung.
Sung is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Souwer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Souwer tries to get out of the position.
Souwer pushes Sung off looking to stand but Sung dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sung throws a sloppy head kick and Souwer moves out of range easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sung is looking to clinch.

Sung keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Souwer's efforts to push away.
Souwer tries to break the clinch but Sung is controlling the position.

Sung has Souwer pressed against the cage, preventing Souwer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Sung is trying to pull guard but Souwer has him pressed against the cage.

Souwer is trying to break the clinch but Sung is controlling him.

Sung seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Souwer is looking to stand up but Sung isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sung has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sung closes the distance and pushes Souwer back into the cage.

Jung Hoon Sung showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Sung closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Still in half guard, Sung seems content to control.
Souwer is staying active underneath Sung, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sung wants to stand up but Souwer is controlling the position.

Sung seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Sung has Souwer pulled in close to control his posture.

Souwer is fighting to break Sung's control of his arms but Sung is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Sung shoots in but Souwer avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Souwer is trying to push Sung away but Sung has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Souwer is looking to break free of the clinch but Sung has double underhooks.
Sung tries to pull guard but Souwer holds him up against the cage and eventually Sung drops back down to his feet.

Jung Hoon Sung seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Sung has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Souwer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
