Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Mercer (ranked 2010 p4p, 230 weight class) and Paul Poulter (ranked 8545 p4p, 555 weight class). Mercer comes to the cage accompanied by Sleep Now In The Fire. Paul Poulter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Mercer.
Poulter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mercer walks into a straight right hand from Poulter.
A right-left combo lands from Mercer.
Poulter throws a poor cross that misses
and Mercer counters with a stiff right hand.
Poulter get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Poulter stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Mercer runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Mercer!
A relieved looking Alex Mercer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
