The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flannery misses with a takedown attempt - Tronstone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ike Tronstone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flannery looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Flannery uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tronstone.
Tronstone looks to land a right hand but Flannery moved out of range.

Flannery is wriggling around but Tronstone manages to pass to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flannery is refusing to be controlled, as Tronstone sits in half guard.

Flannery has momentary wrist control but Tronstone slips an elbow through the middle.

Tronstone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Flannery wants to control but Tronstone is having none of it.

Tronstone lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Flannery is rocked!
Tronstone postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Flannery in real trouble here! The ref calls for Flannery to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
