Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Top Heavy (ranked 2257 p4p, 322 weight class) and Ture Torped (ranked 2107 p4p, 305 weight class). Torped is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Das boot - Movie soundtrack. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Top Heavy has been cut.

Heavy feints and as Torped raises his hands in defense, Heavy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Heavy wants to pass the guard but Torped is keeping the position.
Torped wants to stand and escape but Heavy is having none of it.
Heavy wants to pass the guard but Torped is keeping the position.
Heavy is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at RWB GYM that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Heavy drops back looking for a leg! Torped is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Torped manages to kick Heavy off! Heavy jumps back into Torped's guard.
Torped wants to stand up but Heavy is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heavy controls from within his opponent's guard.
Torped wants to stand and escape but Heavy is having none of it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Torped takes one to the side of the head.
Heavy shoots in but no luck this time.
Torped displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Heavy.
Heavy shoots in and drives through. Torped sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Top Heavy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Top Heavy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Heavy.
Torped looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Torped throws a big shot that misses.
Heavy walks into a jab.
Heavy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Torped avoids it really well and circles away.
Heavy has a takedown stuffed.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Torped! But no joy.
Ture Torped is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Heavy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Torped sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A little jabbing left from Torped on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

The fighters circling - Torped throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Heavy shoots in but Torped avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Torped keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Torped dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Decent striking displayed by Torped there.
Torped misses with an uppercut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Torped, as that shot connected.

Top Heavy's cut is getting worse.

and Torped counters with a nice right hand that sends Heavy toppling to the canvas! Heavy scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Torped finish him?!

Heavy is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Heavy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Oh Heavy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Heavy is breathing heavily.
Torped shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Heavy takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Torped sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Heavy bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ture Torped!
A relieved looking Ture Torped thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
