Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spast plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Gracie smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gracie darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Spast throws a lazy head kick
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Spast utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spast wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Spast is breathing heavily.
Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Spast is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Spast should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gracie has tightened it up now! Spast should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
