Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ghandi Buddha (ranked 4906 p4p, 210 weight class) and George Red (ranked 3484 p4p, 157 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ghandi Buddha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Red!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red goes for a double leg but Buddha avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Buddha continues to drive forward.
Buddha throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Buddha defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Red.
Red tries to clinch there but Buddha circles away.
Red throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Buddha's waist but Buddha gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Red off to one side.
Ghandi Buddha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Red.
Buddha jabs Red to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Red shoots in but Buddha avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Red throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Red keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Red moves into range and clinches up with Buddha.
Buddha goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Red tries for a takedown. No joy.
Buddha lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Red is struggling to control the position.
Red holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Buddha throws a knee to the head but misses.
Red has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Buddha after a bit of a struggle.
Red is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Buddha tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Red pulls Buddha into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Buddha trying to control but Red is working from the bottom.

Buddha will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Buddha loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Buddha has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Red is pulling down on Buddha's head. It's preventing any offense from Buddha, at least for the moment.
Red manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Buddha manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Red tries to free his leg and advance position but Buddha is retaining full guard.
Red pushes down on Buddha's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buddha is in trouble now - Red has advanced to mount!
Buddha knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Red on the ground.
Buddha is bucking up trying to escape but Red cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Red putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Red controlling the pace for now.

Red swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). George Red!
Ghandi Buddha was interviewed post fight and said 'We must do this again. Rubber match. I'll prove who is the best! Leo got the best of me this time. No such luck next time.'.
