Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emanuel Lorde (ranked 4980 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Scanlan (ranked 5283 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Scanlan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorde will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Scanlan looks to land a right hand but Lorde moved out of range.
It looked like Lorde was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Scanlan.
Scanlan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lorde drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lorde pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scanlan is keeping the position for now.
Lorde passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lorde will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scanlan looks to move to half guard but instead Lorde has passed into mount! Damn!

Lorde stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Scanlan misses the jab.
Lorde displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Scanlan throws out the jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Scanlan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Lorde closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Scanlan to the mat! Scanlan manages to get full guard.
Lorde not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lorde stands up from Scanlan's guard - Lorde perhaps looking for a knockout.
Scanlan swings widly with a right hand

and Lorde counters with a shoot takedown. Scanlan fights it but they end up in guard.
Lorde really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Scanlan is working an open guard so Lorde takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lorde - that will leave a mark!

Lorde closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lorde is breathing heavily.
Scanlan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Lorde grinds an elbow into Scanlan's temple.

Lorde is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Scanlan's shoulder. That is not cool.

Lorde is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Scanlan has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lorde has hold of Scanlan's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Scanlan seems comfortable defending it but Lorde has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Scanlan is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Scanlan is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lorde couldn't care less - he's delighted!
