The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perovic changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McGoo misses with a wild combination.
Perovic doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
McGoo blocks the body kick.
McGoo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Perovic fails with an attempt to clinch.
Perovic tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

McGoo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Perovic's guard.
Perovic wants to control the position but McGoo says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Perovic is looking for a sweep. McGoo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGoo decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

McGoo shoots in and bounces Perovic off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perovic trying to keep a closed guard but McGoo is proving a slippery customer.

McGoo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
McGoo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perovic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Perovic misses with a body kick.

McGoo drives through with a takedown into guard.
Perovic seems keen to control McGoo's posture.
McGoo content to stall in guard here.

McGoo slips nicely into half guard.
McGoo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Perovic wants to get back to full guard.
McGoo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Perovic wants to control but McGoo is keeping busy.
McGoo wants to free his trapped foot but Perovic is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McGoo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGoo wants to work for an arm triangle but Perovic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
