Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fletch Brandis (ranked 2292 p4p, 216 weight class) and Ryan Griffin (ranked 4641 p4p, 383 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brandis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Voodoo. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fletch Brandis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Topper Green and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandis swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin.
Brandis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Griffin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brandis's guard.
Brandis pushes Griffin off and gets back to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Brandis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Griffin but Griffin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brandis has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA ($700/week) in the buildup to the fight.
Brandis throws a series of punches but Griffin moves out of range.
Griffin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Griffin gets a clinch.
Brandis tries to circle away but Griffin has him pinned against the cage.
Griffin manages to break the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

It looks like Ryan Griffin has been cut.
Oooh a lovely combination from Brandis sends Griffin down but not out. Brandis dives into side control looking to finish.
Griffin is rocked!
Brandis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Griffin is still in real trouble! Can Brandis finish him?

Brandis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brandis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Griffin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Brandis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Brandis in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Griffin looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Brandis turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fletch Brandis!
