PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grinny Lopez (ranked 7375 p4p, 230 weight class) and Django Ripa (ranked 4037 p4p, 147 weight class). Ripa has chosen American Woman as his entrance music. Django Ripa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Django Ripa!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ripa has time to react.

It looks like Django Ripa has been cut.
A slow jab from Ripa misses its intended target.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lopez, as that shot connected.
Lopez scores with a jab to the head.
Ripa lands with a shot to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Ripa punishes Lopez's body with a nice straight punch.
Ripa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ripa jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ripa thows a left - swing and a miss!
A counter left hand to the body from Lopez misses its target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ripa has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lopez finds it's way round the side to connect with Ripa's head.

Ripa is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lopez jabs Ripa to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ripa is still on wobbly legs! Can Lopez finish him?
Ripa looks winded!
Lopez batters Ripa with a massive right followed by a huge left! Ripa is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Lopez lands a final crushing right hand to drop Ripa to the mat with a gruesome thud! Lopez is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
