Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Redfield Wesker (ranked 5437 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rizzo Ryte (ranked 5760 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesker comes to the cage accompanied by Save Room. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wesker throws a half hearted mid kick.

Wesker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ryte is looking to control Wesker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ryte avoid being mounted?
Wesker slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ryte makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ryte.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wesker stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Wesker keeps the fight on the outside.
Redfield Wesker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wesker misses with a looping left.

Ryte shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wesker as he jumps to the side.
Ryte ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wesker closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Rizzo Ryte has been cut.
Ryte gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Wesker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wesker looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Ryte is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wesker defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wesker stands up and waves to Ryte to follow him.

No luck for Ryte with that takedown attempt.
Redfield Wesker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rizzo Ryte.

and Wesker counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ryte is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wesker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Wesker manages to break the clinch.
Ryte goes for a double leg but Wesker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wesker continues to drive forward.
Ryte shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wesker as he jumps to the side.

Ryte gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wesker works over Ryte's head and body with a nice combination.
Ryte tries to clinch there but Wesker circles away.
Wesker misses with a low kick.
Ryte avoids a kick to the body.
Wesker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ryte scores with a head kick.
Wesker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ryte.

Wesker drives through with a takedown into Ryte's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Wesker is breathing heavily.

Ryte wants to sweep but no luck.
Wesker stays in close to Ryte's body and controls the position.
Ryte trying to keep a closed guard but Wesker is proving a slippery customer.

Ryte has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wesker should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ryte has tightened it up now! Wesker should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
