Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xun Wong (ranked 3732 p4p, 284 weight class) and Daryl Glorex (ranked 5062 p4p, 341 weight class). Xun Wong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xun Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daryl Glorex!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Glorex.
Glorex throws a right hand that Wong ducks under and follows up with a left that Wong also avoids with ease.
Wong changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Glorex throws a combination that misses

and Wong counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wong.
Wong throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Wong throws a big right hand that misses.

Glorex working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Glorex works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Glorex trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Wong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Glorex has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wong has managed to get both his arms back between Glorex's legs - danger averted.

Wong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Glorex sees it coming and defends easily.

Wong is trying to work for a kimura but Glorex is defending well.

Wong is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Glorex on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Wong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Wong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Glorex is just riding it out for now. Wong eventually gives up the hold.

Glorex is in trouble now - Wong has advanced to mount!

Wong looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Wong working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Wong throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Wong jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Glorex manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glorex avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wong.

Wong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Glorex knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Xun Wong dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Glorex cracks Wong with a good jab.
Glorex displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Glorex lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Glorex throws a nice looking combination but Wong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wong is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Glorex throws a right and a left that both miss.
It looked like Wong was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Glorex.
Daryl Glorex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wong gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Glorex.
Glorex scores with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Glorex throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Wong counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Glorex!

Wong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Glorex knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Glorex can do to turn this around?

Wong is working to tighten his grip on Glorex's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Glorex has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wong is really squeezing tight and eventually Glorex passes out! Wong breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
