Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelly Danger (ranked 4195 p4p, 509 weight class) and Carlton Winson (ranked 4481 p4p, 536 weight class). The key to victory for Kelly Danger has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelly Danger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlton Winson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danger scores with a kick to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Danger enables Winson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Danger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Winson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Danger wants to sweep but no luck.
Winson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Danger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Danger is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danger has Winson pulled in close to control his posture.

Winson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Winson misses with a head kick.

Danger closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Winson dodges an elbow strike from Danger.
Danger throws an elbow that misses.
Danger managing to block the knees to the body from Winson.

Danger with a knee to the head.
Danger tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Danger lands a nice uppercut.

Winson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Danger clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Danger is trying to get back to his feet but Winson has full control of the position and if anything, Danger has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Winson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Danger is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Danger is taking damage to the body and head.
I would not like to be Danger right now.

Winson trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Danger doesn't escape.
Winson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Danger is trying to stand back up.
Winson lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Carlton Winson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Winson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Winson is stalling in the full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Winson forces his way into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Winson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Danger tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Winson is in Danger's guard.

Danger wants to clinch but Winson slips to the side

and Winson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Danger's guard.
Danger is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Winson dives into side control.

Danger is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Winson tries to score with some ground and pound. Danger controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Winson is continuing to stall.

Winson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Danger is trying to escape the position but Winson is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlton Winson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Danger tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Winson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Danger looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Winson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Danger's guard.
Danger working a defensive guard but Winson manages to pass into side control anyway.

Winson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Danger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Let's hope that Winson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Winson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Winson is staying tight to Danger's torso, preventing him from escaping.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Winson shoots for a takedown but Danger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Winson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Danger tries to close the distance and clinch but Winson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Winson shoots for a double leg takedown but Danger sprawls well. He's pushed Winson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kelly Danger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlton Winson.

Danger clinches up with Winson and pushes him back against the cage.
Danger lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Winson has Danger pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Danger manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Winson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Danger pushes off an throws an elbow but Winson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Danger lands an elbow that stopped Winson in his tracks for a moment.
Winson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Danger is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A short body shot lands from Danger as the two fighters clinch.
Kelly Danger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Carlton Winson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Winson takes a knee to the side of the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kelly Danger showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Winson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
