Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Jaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Konstantine!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konstantine shoots for a takedown but Jaa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Konstantine drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jaa controls Konstantine momentarily but Konstantine frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jaa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jaa seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Jaa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Konstantine's half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jaa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Konstantine is looking to escape.
Konstantine tries to hold on but Jaa postures up.

Jaa swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Konstantine is now in Jaa's guard. A big mistake from Jaa there, giving up the dominant position!
Jaa is trying to keep Konstantine in close.
We've been informed that Konstantine has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Konstantine not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jaa throws a big elbow that misses.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jaa tries to close the distance and clinch but Konstantine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jaa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Konstantine is refusing to be controlled, as Jaa sits in half guard.
Konstantine avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jaa.

Jaa is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Konstantine has managed to free his arm - good work.

Jaa moves nicely into side control.
Konstantine manages to get back to half guard.
Konstantine moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Jaa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Konstantine has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jaa has managed to get both his arms back between Konstantine's legs - danger averted.

Konstantine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jaa defends well.
Jaa wanted to stand there but Konstantine had control of the position.

Jaa wants to control from the top but Konstantine keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jaa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Konstantine looking for subs off his back but Jaa has passed one foot through into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jaa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Konstantine does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaa throws the kick towards the body but Konstantine avoids it.
It seemed like Konstantine was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jaa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jaa wants it to stay on the feet.

Jaa wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Konstantine's closed guard. He's half up but Konstantine has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Konstantine pivots and extends the arm, Jaa falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Konstantine! Well done that man!
