Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Haze (ranked 1073 p4p, 114 weight class) and Brian Jones (ranked 957 p4p, 103 weight class). Jones has chosen Take my hand as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brian Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Haze tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Haze.
Decent striking displayed by Haze there.
Haze has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hart Family Dungeon in the buildup to the fight.
Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Haze looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Haze manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Jones drops back, looking for a kneebar! Haze looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Haze looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Haze!

Haze has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Haze lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Haze's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Haze's back!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Haze connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.
