Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Machiavelli RestInPiece (ranked 3413 p4p, 287 weight class) and Mauricio Macri (ranked 7312 p4p, 451 weight class). Machiavelli RestInPiece has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
RestInPiece's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and RestInPiece duly obliges.
RestInPiece throws a body punch but Macri moves out of range.
RestInPiece jabbing away but nothing is landing.
RestInPiece is looking to score with low kicks.

Macri closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming RestInPiece to the mat! RestInPiece manages to get full guard.
RestInPiece wants to stand but Macri is controlling the position.

Macri is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! RestInPiece is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! RestInPiece has escaped and now he's on top!

Macri has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Macri has his foot on RestInPiece's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. RestInPiece works his way back into a safe position though.
Macri manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. RestInPiece manages to get himself to full guard.

RestInPiece knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Macri on the ground.
RestInPiece wants to get back to his feet but Macri is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
RestInPiece can't keep his opponent in guard - Macri advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
RestInPiece is not content to let Macri control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Macri seems to be working for a kimura but RestInPiece defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Macri throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing RestInPiece to regain full guard.
RestInPiece will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
