Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Power Shark (ranked 1612 p4p, 185 weight class) and Ross Warring (ranked 425 p4p, 62 weight class). Warring has chosen Sleep Now in the Fire as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Power Shark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ross Warring!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Watson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shark throws a looping overhand right but Warring ducks down to avoid it.
Warring fails to land with a series of punches.
Shark was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Shark lands with an uppercut that bounces Warring off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Ross Warring has been cut.
Shark walks into a stiff left hand from Warring.
A combination from Warring does no damage.
Shark is looking to counter punch.
Warring needs to keep his hands up - Shark had a free shot at his head there.
Warring throws a poor cross that misses
and Shark counters with a left to the body.
A swing and a miss from Warring.
Warring throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shark counters with a nice uppercut.
Warring closes the distance and clinches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Warring lands a hook that snaps the head of Shark backwards.
Shark has a couple of punches blocked by Warring.
Shark lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Warring backwards.
Shark goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Warring works on Shark's body with a couple of short punches.

Warring lands with a right to the head.
Warring blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Warring pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shark throws the left hand but Warring avoids the punch easily.

Warring clinches up with Shark and pushes him back against the cage.

Shark lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Warring can't find room to land a body shot as Shark controls the action.
Warring scores with a shoulder strike.

Shark softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Warring takes a shot to the head.

A nice left hand lands by Warring.
Warring's coach down at Fit-Out was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Warring's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Warring tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Shark's elbow.
Warring tries to land knees in the clinch but Shark avoids the damage to the body.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Shark.
Warring has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Shark misses with a hook from the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Warring.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Shark.
Warring breaks the clinch.
Warring swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shark counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Warring misses with a double jab.
A little feinted left hand from Shark on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shark pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Shark scores with a nice strike.
Warring defending well as Shark loads up on a big left hand.
A left lands for Shark.
Warring is rocked!

and Shark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Warring is still on wobbly legs! Can Shark finish him?

Warring looks up at the clock. Bad move! Shark lands a right hand from hell, dropping Warring. Shark pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Power Shark!
After winning the bout, Power Shark thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
