Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Anderson (ranked 1361 p4p, 154 weight class) and Roy Jones Gracie (ranked 2345 p4p, 241 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Jones Gracie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with the takedown
and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gracie wants to clinch.
Anderson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anderson falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Gracie to counter with a crisp jab.
Anderson looks to throw the jab but Gracie is out of range.
Anderson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gracie swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Anderson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Anderson jabs Gracie to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Anderson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.
Gracie moves away from the strike by Anderson.
Anderson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gracie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Damian Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Jones Gracie.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gracie! But no joy.
Anderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gracie. Gracie circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Anderson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gracie feints the counter takedown.
Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Gracie scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Anderson just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Anderson.

Anderson throws the left hand but Gracie avoids the punch easily.
Gracie moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off.

Gracie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Anderson's head backwards.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Anderson looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.
Anderson lands a lovely overhand right.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Anderson clinches.
Anderson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Anderson lands a hook that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
Anderson presses Gracie against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Anderson is working Gracie over against the cage.
Gracie fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Anderson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Anderson lands with a right to the head.
Anderson lands a left hand.
Anderson lands a body punch in the clinch.
Gracie looks winded!
Gracie takes a shot to the head.
Gracie tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gracie is looking to control Anderson's arms but Anderson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gracie has his back to the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Anderson.
Gracie has a couple of punches blocked by Anderson.

Gracie drags the fight down to the ground.
Anderson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Anderson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gracie is trying to control the position but Anderson postures up.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gracie has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Anderson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gracie has tightened it up now! Anderson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
