Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Steve (ranked 69 p4p, 12 weight class) and Pekka Toivonen (ranked 248 p4p, 35 weight class). Steve comes into the arena with Its a fine day to whoop somebodies ass blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Toivonen manages to avoid it.
Steve scores with a nice right hand.
Steve lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Toivonen throws a leg kick
and Steve counters with a nice uppercut.
Toivonen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Toivonen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Mark Steve has been cut.
Steve throws a jab but it's blocked by Toivonen.
Nice shot by Steve.

It looks like Pekka Toivonen has been cut.
Toivonen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That kick from Toivonen tenderised Steve's leg. Steve is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A right-left combo lands from Steve.

Toivonen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steve throws a big shot that misses.
Toivonen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Steve wants to clinch.
Steve checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Toivonen slips a jab and a cross from Steve.
And Toivonen responds with a good body kick, but Steve manages to step out the way in time.
Steve scores with a punch to the head.
Toivonen misses the shot to the body.

Steve cracks Toivonen with an open hand slap.
We've been told by Steve's head coaches at Men Only. No Liberals ! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Steve throws a body punch but Toivonen moves out of range.
Steve's jab looks to have found its range, popping Toivonen under the eye.
Steve looks to land a left hand but Toivonen moved out of range nicely.
Toivonen throws out a counter right but Steve avoids it with no problem.
Steve is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Steve tries to clinch up but Toivonen circles away and keeps his distance.
Toivonen lets loose with a powerful body kick. Steve will feel that in the morning.
Steve is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Toivonen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Steve tries to close the distance and clinch but Toivonen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Toivonen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Steve.
Toivonen throws a quick inside leg kick.

Toivonen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Steve.
Steve takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Steve dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A punch combination from Steve misses.
Toivonen follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Toivonen throws a push kick but Steve slaps the foot to one side.
Steve swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Toivonen misses with the body kick
and Steve counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Steve scores with a nice head shot.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Toivonen.
Steve misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Toivonen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
The fight stays on the outside here - Steve looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Toivonen throws a low kick but Steve avoids it.
Steve pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Toivonen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Steve wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Toivonen defending well as Steve loads up on a big left hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steve misses with a looping left.
Steve misses with a right hand
and Toivonen finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Toivonen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Steve misses its target.

Toivonen cracks Steve with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Steve looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Toivonen finish him?
Toivonen finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Steve will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Steve looks to land a right hand but Toivonen moved out of range.

Toivonen drops Steve with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Steve looks back up at him and smiles so Toivonen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Steve is rocked!
OH! Steve has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Toivonen smells blood and charges in for the finish! Toivonen unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Steve sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Pekka Toivonen!

Pekka Toivonen decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Mark Steve was interviewed post fight and said 'broke both my hands on that thick skull and played hell on any offense....and I aint much on defense.....'.
