PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Lobo (ranked 23403 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinsuke Nakamura (ranked 21813 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nakamura's choice of entrance music: Shadow Of A Setting Sun. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Crazy Lobo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinsuke Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakamura closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lobo tries to buck Nakamura off but Nakamura is having none of it.

Lobo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Nakamura seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Nakamura bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lobo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nakamura defends well.

Nakamura got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lobo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nakamura has managed to get both his arms back between Lobo's legs - danger averted.

Lobo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakamura swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nakamura wants to sweep here but Lobo controlling him for the moment.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nakamura holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Nakamura changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lobo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close second round but I would say that Crazy Lobo will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Nakamura avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lobo closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Nakamura! Lobo dives in looking to finish! Nakamura is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Crazy Lobo!
After the fight, Crazy Lobo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Shinsuke Nakamura spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm So Sorry Fans For Lost, I Don't Know I Could Quit MMA And Head Back To WWE Or NJPW Or Train Harder Win My Next Fight For You Fans'.
