Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Graham Romero (ranked 6558 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoine Pique (ranked 7403 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero darts in looking for a takedown but Pique gets double underhooks and turns Romero into the cage.

Romero moves into the clinch.
Pique is trying to break the clinch but Romero is controlling him.

Romero tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pique avoids it.

and Pique counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Romero is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pique is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pique drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Romero sneaks out the side door and pushes Pique away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Romero has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pique has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Romero cracks Pique with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Pique from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Pique is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Romero gets his way!
