Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Doobie McGoo!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hebert closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hebert lands in his opponent's guard.
Hebert wants to control from the top but McGoo keeps moving.
McGoo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hebert won't allow McGoo to sweep him here.

McGoo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hebert avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McGoo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McGoo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hebert paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Hebert counters with a one-two to the body.
McGoo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hebert back to the cage. McGoo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
A combination from McGoo does no damage.

McGoo drives through with a takedown into guard.

McGoo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hebert defends it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McGoo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hebert tries to kick McGoo off in order to stand up. McGoo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

McGoo swings around for an armbar but Hebert sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into McGoo's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McGoo dives in for a single leg takedown but Hebert sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Carrol Hebert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doobie McGoo.

McGoo jumps guard and drags Hebert to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Still in half guard, Hebert seems content to control.
Hebert's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McGoo is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hebert stuffs the takedown attempt from McGoo. McGoo gets slowly back to his feet.

McGoo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hebert, up you get!
Doobie McGoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hebert jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McGoo walks away with a smile on his face. Hebert gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McGoo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
