Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Bear (ranked 1081 p4p, 60 weight class) and Super Meat Boy (ranked 471 p4p, 27 weight class). Super Meat Boy has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Teddy Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Super Meat Boy!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meat Boy swings away with a body shot that misses
and Bear counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Teddy Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Meat Boy enables Bear to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Meat Boy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Meat Boy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bear wants to stand and escape but instead Meat Boy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Meat Boy is standing up over Bear. Bear looks to escape but Meat Boy dives into side control.
Bear on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bear tries to get out of the position.

Bear is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bear is working hard here to advance position.
Meat Boy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
You can see the frustration on Bear's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Meat Boy is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bear will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bear tries to reverse the position but Meat Boy maintains control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bear avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bear wants to get back to striking at distance but Meat Boy won't allow it.

Meat Boy stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Bear takes a shot to the head.
Oh Bear is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Meat Boy drops Bear onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Bear is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Meat Boy misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Meat Boy unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Bear! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Meat Boy is unloading with more strikes now! Bear drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Super Meat Boy!
Super Meat Boy decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
In defeat, Teddy Bear stepped up to the mic, saying 'Tonight wasn't my night, but i'll learn and come back stronger.'.
