Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otto Tallus (ranked 5749 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Davidson (ranked 3506 p4p, 0 weight class). Tallus comes to the cage accompanied by Poison Girl. On his way into the cage it seems that Otto Tallus has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Otto Tallus seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tallus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tallus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Davidson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tallus defends it easily.
Tallus looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tallus seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davidson for as long as he can get away with.

Davidson is trying to control the position but Tallus postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Tallus looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Tallus counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Tallus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Davidson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tallus continues to stall.

Tallus darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Davidson is trying to stand up here but Tallus is controlling him well.

Tallus looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
More hug and hope from Tallus.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davidson wants to improve his position but Tallus is controlling well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tallus has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Tallus.

Tallus drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Tallus as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Davidson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Tallus! Nice submission victory there!
