Kosola - LÄSKI! as his entrance music. Jan Snow has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vipunen catches Snow with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Vipunen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vipunen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Vipunen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Snow's head.
Vipunen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vipunen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Vipunen tries to score with a low kick but Snow moves his leg out of the way.
Snow connects with a body shot.
Vipunen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Aapeli Vipunen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vipunen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Snow throws a jab when Vipunen was well out of range.

We've been told by Snow's head coaches at Talu's Boxing Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Snow throws a shot from downtown. Vipunen moves away and avoids it.
Vipunen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Snow moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vipunen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Snow fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Vipunen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vipunen just misses with a punch to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vipunen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Snow.
Vipunen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Vipunen defending well as Snow loads up on a big left hand.
Snow blocks a jab.

Vipunen darts in and clinches Snow up against the cage.
Snow throws a head punch that misses.

Vipunen gets control of Snow's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vipunen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vipunen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Snow slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Vipunen is looking for a triangle but Snow pushes his legs off easily.

Vipunen throws his legs up looking for a submission but Snow uses it to pass to side control.
Vipunen tries to improve position but can't.
Snow trying to control the action but Vipunen is working from the bottom.
Vipunen is looking to regain half guard here but Snow keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vipunen manages to get back to half guard.
Vipunen tries to roll over but Snow keeps him under control.

Snow throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vipunen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aapeli Vipunen seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vipunen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Snow on the side of the head.

Vipunen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Vipunen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Snow can pounce on him.

Vipunen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snow circles away quickly and effectively.
Vipunen connects with a solid leg kick.

Snow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vipunen.

Aapeli Vipunen seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Snow makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Vipunen has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Snow seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Vipunen can turn it around.

Aapeli Vipunen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Vipunen throws a right hand that Snow ducks under and follows up with a left that Snow also avoids with ease.

Snow throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Vipunens head.

Snow swings wildly with an uppercut but Vipunen uses good head movement to avoid it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Snow creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Vipunen lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Snow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Snow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vipunen was well out of range. Poor timing from Snow.

A little feinted left hand from Snow on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Vipunen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Snow manages to avoid it.

A swing and a miss from Snow.
Vipunen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Snow stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Snow throws an overhand right that lands on Vipunen's shoulder, as Vipunen tries to avoid the shot.
A left lands for Vipunen.
Vipunen throws a quick inside leg kick.
A combination from Vipunen does no damage.
Vipunen connects with an inside leg kick.
Snow lands an overhand right.
Good standup being displayed there by Vipunen as he connects with a hook.
Vipunen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Vipunen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Snow avoids the body shot from Vipunen.
Vipunen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Snow darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Vipunen moves out of range of the body kick.
Vipunen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Vipunen lands a big head kick that sends Snow tumbling to the mat! Vipunen takes a step backwards and waves Snow back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Snow is rocked!
Vipunen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Snow at a distance.
Oh Snow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Snow throws a body punch but Vipunen moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Vipunen, right into the meat.
A slapping leg kick lands for Vipunen.
Snow walks straight into a right hand from Vipunen - that's dropped him! Vipunen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Snow from any more punishment! Snow complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Aapeli Vipunen!
After the fight, Aapeli Vipunen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
