The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Johnathan Parker has been cut.

and Hanson counters with a one-two to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Parker enables Hanson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parker manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hanson wants to pass the guard but Parker is keeping the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hanson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hanson has managed to get both his arms back between Parker's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hanson moves into the clinch.

Hanson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Parker can't fight it off and eventually Hanson manages to take the fight to the floor. Parker looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hanson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hanson is looking to take a break and control but Parker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well Hanson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
