PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arvo Laar (ranked 7330 p4p, 0 weight class) and Handsome Rutten (ranked 3034 p4p, 413 weight class). Laar comes into the arena with some random 90's estonia dance song i found on youtube blaring out of the sound system. Laar has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arvo Laar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Handsome Rutten!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laar walks into a left hand.
Laar throws a leg kick
and Rutten counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Laar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Arvo Laar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rutten sizes up Laar with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Laar is breathing heavily.
Rutten dips to his left and cracks Laar with an uppercut!
Laar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rutten explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Laar crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rutten - the referee stops the clock and Laar gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rutten. Laar manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Rutten scores with a three punch combo!
Laar takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laar takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Rutten drops Laar with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Laar looks back up at him and smiles so Rutten waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Laar is rocked!

Rutten gets a clinch.
Oh Laar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rutten is muscling Laar up against the cage and as Laar bounces back off, Rutten cracks him with a huge right hand! Laar crumples to the mat - he's out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Handsome Rutten!
An out of breath Handsome Rutten thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
