The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Santos gets the takedown into side control.
Lucas is looking for a sweep.
Lucas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked De Santos off and has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lucas is persistently looking for the submission but De Santos is defending it well.
Lucas gets his hands free as De Santos looks to control.
Lucas has got his arm under De Santos's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! De Santos has spun round into Lucas's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Lucas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De Santos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
De Santos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
De Santos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lucas for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round.
De Santos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lucas's guard.
Lucas is defending against the submission attempts here by De Santos.
Well, if De Santos is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
