Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Perry St Hype (ranked 4129 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Sands (ranked 3438 p4p, 0 weight class). Sands is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Irish Soldier Song ... Free & Green. Bobby Sands told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Sands shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has St Hype pinned against the cage. St Hype gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
St Hype looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Sands avoids a kick to the body.
Sands gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sands throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around St Hype's waist but St Hype gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sands off to one side.
St Hype changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

and Sands makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. St Hype really felt that one!
St Hype lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sands closes this distance looking for a takedown but St Hype circles away.
Perry St Hype has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Sands.
Sands walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

BOOM! St Hype lands a beautiful left hook that drops Sands. Sands tries to recover but St Hype is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Sands lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
