Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randell Miranda (ranked 22717 p4p, 516 weight class) and Helge Fossmo (ranked 8543 p4p, 515 weight class). Fossmo has chosen Helge Fossmo predikar as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Miranda misses.
Fossmo doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Miranda throws a leg kick that is checked
and Fossmo counters with a nice uppercut.
Miranda misses with a wild combination.
A nice side step and Fossmo releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Fossmo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Fossmo replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Miranda blocks it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miranda looks to land a combination. Fossmo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Fossmo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Miranda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fossmo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fossmo has clasped his hands together around Miranda's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fossmo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Miranda takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Miranda is rocked!
A big shot lands for Fossmo! That's hurt Miranda! Will he recover? Fossmo fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
