Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Murphy (ranked 2570 p4p, 312 weight class) and Hesam Khavari (ranked 1424 p4p, 186 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Shane Murphy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Shane Murphy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murphy has closed the distance and engaged Khavari in a clinch.
Khavari lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Murphy backwards.

Murphy using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Khavari has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Khavari creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A short body shot lands from Khavari as the two fighters clinch.
Murphy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Khavari lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Khavari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
